Valley of my Origin: Taroko National Park, Hualien, Taiwan
Taroko National Park is located on Eastern Taiwan. Its mountainous topography characterised most of the area. This includes: valleys, gorges, mountains, rapid rivers, and waterfalls.
The Tunnel of Nine Turns is one of Taroko National Park's attractions. This man made highway penetrates the mountains through winding stone caves and tunnels which creates a unique experience of having a deep valley on one side of the road and vertical stone cliffs on the other side.

Applied Texture
The proportion of positive and negative spaces increase gradually as it moves to the centre of the architecture. The light texture is applied on the platforms that connect two areas. Transparency of this texture creates an indistinguishable boundary between the architecture and landscape. The dark texture echoes with its surrounded rocky landscape. This continuity of surfaces also makes the architecture indistinguishable.
